Job Positions published by aggregators
What is an aggregator?
An aggregator is a reader or compiler of content, which gathers data on a specific sector, searching and compiling the publications of other websites. Aggregators are one of the best examples of the practical usefulness and added value of 2.0 systems, as they combine an enormous diversity of information sources with the possibility of facilitating searches and user interaction.
In Spain we have several employment aggregators, Indeed, Jobrapido, Jooble or Trovit. Both for recruiters and job seekers, job aggregators are very useful.
How do aggregators affect us?
Some of the benefits that these aggregators can bring to both recruiters and candidates are:
- For the company: the publication of its vacancies free of charge, allowing the positions to travel through the internet reaching a multitude of users. This translates into more traffic and a higher number of registrations.
- For the candidate: they facilitate the job search, bringing together in a single space the job job positions that are scattered across different websites.
Even so, some of the aggregators can sometimes not be entirely beneficial for our company, as their use entails certain risks:
- They do not follow the guidelines of your Employer Branding: sometimes the aggregators republish the job positions with a different "look" than usual, so they may appear to be different from the job positions published by your company.
- Labyrinth with no way out for candidates: the candidate journey can become a real nightmare for the candidate, having to fill in multiple forms and create profiles on several pages to apply for an job position. All of this seriously damages the candidate's candidate experience with our company (as they believe that it is an job position that we have published).
- DBs in the aggregators themselves without access: What happens to the candidates who register for the job positions? In some cases, these candidates become part of databases to which the recruiter does not have access and which belong to the aggregators themselves, so we will never consider these applications and the candidates will never receive feedback.
How to avoid risks?
First of all, it is important that we have control over all the places where our job positions appear in order to ensure that the candidate experience is always a good one.
Remember that from Talent Clue you can publish directly on some of the aggregators such as Indeed, Trovit or Jooble, making sure that those candidates are not going to get lost along the way.
If you identify a case of a position that you have not published directly in an aggregator and you have doubts about whether the candidates will reach you, we recommend you:
Test and apply for the position yourself to see what the candidate journey is like and if the application makes it into your database. In case it does not happen as expected, ask the aggregator to unpublish your job position. From Talent Clue, we job position a Legal Document so that you can use it in these cases.
If you have any other doubts, you can always contact us through the support chat or talk to your Account Manager.
