You can decide whether or not to share the database with subsidiary companies (subgroups). If you choose to share it, all subsidiaries will be able to access the main company's database and the databases of other subsidiaries. If you choose not to, users in each subsidiary will only be able to see their own database and/or those of the subsidiaries under their hierarchy, but they will not have access to the databases of other subsidiaries at the same level or above.
