How to Create a Google Tag Manager Account
Google Tag Manager is a tool that facilitates the collection of metrics (number of clicks, visits, etc.) from your web pages and allows you to view them in programs like Google Analytics.
To set up Google Tag Manager in Talent Clue and obtain metrics from your job pages, you need to have a Google Tag Manager account. In this article, we'll explain how to create a Google Tag Manager account and obtain the ID that you need to enter in Talent Clue.
1. Create a Google Tag Manager Account
Go to the official Google Tag Manager page and create a new account. We recommend using a corporate email since the account will be used to manage the Google Tag Manager integrated with Talent Clue.

Upon logging into Google Tag Manager, you will see a list of accounts. In this example, we have three created accounts. Since you have never created one before, the account list will be empty until you create the first one.
2. Create an Account within Google Tag Manager
To create a new account, click on "Create Account".
On the next page, choose the account name and country. The country selection is only for the language in which the Google Tag Manager Terms of Service agreement will be displayed.
Once you have chosen the account name, select the name of the container that we will create within the account and where this container will be used. In this case, it will be used on a "Website." Then click on "Create".
Before finishing, in the next window, you will need to accept the Google Tag Manager Terms of Service agreement.
Once you have accepted the agreement, a piece of code will appear. You don't need to do anything with this code since Talent Clue will add it to your pages automatically once you configure Google Tag Manager in your Talent Clue account. Simply click on "Accept", and you will have a created account within Google Tag Manager!
Next Steps
You have successfully created your Google Tag Manager account. At the top left of the account, you will see an ID starting with "GTM...". At this point, this ID is not published and therefore is not yet tracking any activity on your job pages.
To start tracking with Google Tag Manager, you need to add your Google Tag Manager ID to your Talent Clue Settings. To receive the results of the tracking performed by Google Tag Manager once it is activated, you will need to integrate your Google Tag Manager account with your Google Analytics account. We will explain how to do it here.
