Integrating Google Tag Manager with Google Analytics

To make the most of the new integration between Google Tag Manager and Talent Clue, in this article, we will show you how to integrate Google Tag Manager with your Google Analytics account.

Add your Google Analytics ID to your Google Tag Manager account

Access your Google Tag Manager account. In the "All accounts" view, click on the link of the account you want to use, as shown in the screenshot:

Within the account, click on "Add new tag".

Once inside, click on "Tag Configuration" and then choose "Google Analytics - Universal Analytics" as the tag type.

Add a title to the tag (e.g., Google Analytics - Page View). Then, under "Tracking Type," choose the event you want to measure on your job pages. In this example, we select "Page View" to measure the number of visits to our job pages.

Finally, click on "Google Analytics Settings" and select "New Variable...".

In the "New Variable..." section, enter the Google Analytics ID of the account where you want to receive the analytics results. Click on "Save".

We have now configured the tag with our Google Analytics ID. Now, click on "Activation" and then choose "All Pages". Click on "Add".

Save the tag you have created, and in the overview of your account, click on "Submit" (top right) and then "Publish".

We have successfully linked our Google Analytics account with our Google Tag Manager account.

Once you have added your Google Tag Manager ID in the Talent Clue Settings, you will be able to see the analytics of your job pages in your Google Analytics account. Allow a few hours for the results to start appearing in your Google Analytics.
