Download database (XLSX file)

If you are a user with the role of owner or administrator in the parent company, you will be able to access all the data in your account in .xlsx format.

In this article, we will explain how to do it.

Access the Settings

Look for "Download DataBase" and click on "Download"

Request the database download

You will receive the download in XLSX file format, which is similar to an Excel file and will include all the fields shown below:

Security Password to Open the XLSX File

Once you click the "Request" button, a text will appear confirming that the download has started, along with the email where you will receive it and the password (in italics and gray) to open the file.

Download Ready

In a matter of minutes, depending on the size of your database, you will receive an email as shown below:

By clicking on the blue text "Click Here", a window will open for you to save the file. We recommend saving it in an easily accessible location so that you can find it quickly after downloading.

The file comes in a compressed format (ZIP), so you will need a file extractor, such as WinRAR or 7-Zip.

Extracting the ZIP File

Once you open the file, it will prompt you for the password. Enter it where requested, and the file will be automatically extracted. The time it takes will vary depending on the file's size.

The file will have a name like this, for example: export_fc1753dc-666d-4999-9a58-3a4a3a2fbcc4.xlsx

Opening the XLSX File

XLSX files are usually opened by default with Excel, which may not display the data correctly, and certain characters like accented vowels, "ñ" or other special letters may not appear correctly.

To prevent this, you should first open a blank Excel sheet, click on "Data" and select "From text/CSV".

Next, you'll need to locate the file and import it into your blank sheet. Once you have done that, a window like this will appear:

In the "File Origin" section, you should choose the option "65001: Unicode (UTF-8)", as this will allow you to correct any "unusual" characters that may appear by default.

In the "Delimiter" section, select the "comma" option, and leave the "Data Type Detection" option as the default.

After completing these steps, click on "Load" and your file will be ready for you to work with in just a few seconds.

Issues or Errors

If you encounter unstructured information when opening the file in Excel (which can happen if you have text in the Comments column), you should open it with Google Sheets and the information will automatically appear in a structured format.
