Adding candidate to a job vs Inviting candidate to a job
Talent Clue provides you with the opportunity to perform a variety of actions on your candidates. If you're unsure about what these actions entail, here's a link for you to learn more about them.
In this article, we aim to clarify the differences between two of these actions:
- Adding to an offer
- Inviting to an offer
Both actions allow you to increase the number of candidates for a specific position, but they function differently.
Adding to an offer
With this option, you directly introduce a candidate from your database into one of your job offers. The candidate does not receive an automatic email informing them that they've been added. Nor do they receive an email when they are rejected or when the offer is closed.
Since the candidate has not personally applied to the offer, it would be unusual for them to receive a message stating that they've been rejected from an offer they did not apply to.
Inviting to an offer
With this option, you can extend an invitation to one of your candidates from your database for a job offer. You likely have a multitude of qualified candidates in your database and are eager to propose open positions to them.
If you choose this option, the invited candidates will receive an email in which they will be asked whether or not they wish to apply to the offer. This way, we obtain their consent. You can customize the invitation emails after clicking on the "Invite to an offer" option. Here, we provide further details on how to customize your invitation message.
